Attack — Tel-Aviv, Rosh Ha'ir restaurant
17 avril 2006·Tel-Aviv, restaurant Rosh Ha'ir
The toll is reproduced exactly as the source states it — never rounded, never added to another. Tolls overlap from one event to the next.
In April 2006, during the Pessah holiday, a suicide bomber detonated himself outside the Rosh Ha'ir restaurant, a grill house near the old central bus station in Tel-Aviv, in a working-class neighborhood frequented by laborers and migrants. The same establishment had already been struck a few months earlier.
This was the last large-scale suicide attack carried out in Israel before a long interruption, as the separation barrier and security operations had made such crossings more difficult. The neighborhood around the old central bus station, the poorest in Tel-Aviv, had paid a heavy price during that period.
