Dolphinarium bombing (Tel-Aviv)
1ᵉʳ juin 2001·Tel-Aviv, Dolphinarium
The toll is reproduced exactly as the source states it — never rounded, never added to another. Tolls overlap from one event to the next.
One Friday evening, in front of the Dolphinarium discotheque on the Tel-Aviv seafront, a man slipped into the queue and detonated his charge. The victims were almost all teenagers, the majority girls, and many of them children of recent immigrants from the former Soviet Union.
It was the deadliest attack of the first year of the second Intifada. The memorial wall erected on the promenade bears the inscription "we will not stop dancing." The survivors, themselves teenagers, formed an association that bears witness in schools.
