The Apropos café stood along a busy boulevard in Tel-Aviv, in a district of offices and shops, and its terrace was frequented at midday.
A man settles there and then detonates his charge. Three women seated at tables are killed, dozens of customers and passersby wounded. The attack ends a period of relative calm in the city.
It is part of the resumption of attacks that followed the opening of the Har Homa construction site in Jerusalem, and inaugurates the series of attacks against the cafés and restaurants of Tel-Aviv, open spaces impossible to protect entirely.
