Rudolf Slánský, secrétaire général du Parti communiste tchécoslovaque, et ses coaccusés sont jugés à Prague pour un « complot trotskiste-titiste-sioniste ». L'acte d'accusation nomme l'origine juive des prévenus à chaque ligne ; les aveux, appris par cœur, sont diffusés à la radio et publiés dans la presse du bloc.

C'est le premier procès d'un pays socialiste où l'antisémitisme devient un motif officiel d'accusation, et il sert de modèle aux campagnes qui suivent, jusqu'à l'affaire des blouses blanches à Moscou. Les condamnés seront réhabilités au milieu des années soixante, sans que l'on rende aux familles les corps, incinérés et dispersés sur une route verglacée.
