A new attempt to expel the Jews from Bohemia was undertaken.

The expulsion orders followed one after another under Ferdinand I without ever being fully carried out: the community of Prague would buy extra time, plead before the court, and ultimately remain. It was this game of threats and ransoms, rather than any stable protection, that defined the condition of the Jews of Bohemia for two centuries.
