A long series of trains conducts the Jews from the Netherlands from the Westerbork camp to the Sobibor killing center.
A series of convoys departs from Westerbork bound for Sobibor, in occupied Poland, at the rate of one train per week for several months. Unlike Auschwitz, where a selection took place, nearly all the deportees sent to Sobibor were murdered upon arrival; only a handful of them, retained for labor, survived the war. These convoys carried away a considerable portion of the Dutch Jews still present in the camp.
