Jewish officials in the Netherlands are suspended and then dismissed by the occupier.

In the Netherlands, civil servants are ordered to sign a declaration of ancestry, after which Jews are removed from public office: teachers, magistrates, employees of ministries and municipalities lose their positions. The president of the Supreme Court is dismissed. The measure strikes a community deeply integrated into the Dutch administration and breaks, within a matter of weeks, a civic equality more than a century and a half old.
