Jewish men from the Twente region are arrested and sent to Mauthausen.
In the Twente region, in the eastern Netherlands, the occupying forces carry out a roundup of Jewish men in reprisal for an act of sabotage. The arrests strike the small communities of the border textile towns, where many families had settled after fleeing Germany following the Nazi seizure of power. The men are transported to Mauthausen via the Schoorl camp; the families left behind will be deported the following year.
