The Jews of Würzburg and villages of Lower Franconia, where rural Jewish presence was ancient, were gathered in a pavilion in the town and deported eastward.

The Jews of Würzburg and all of Lower Franconia are deported over the course of the year to Lublin and then to Theresienstadt. Families from the surrounding villages, where rural communities had been long-established and numerous, had been brought into the city and gathered in the community's premises before departure. The convoys leave from a freight station situated below the fortress.
