The last prayer houses in Munich are destroyed, the great synagogue having already been razed by order in early summer.
It is from Munich, where the regime's leaders were gathered, that the call is launched in the evening, triggering violence across the country. The city's great synagogue had already been demolished a few months earlier by order. The remaining places of worship are set on fire that night, businesses ransacked, and men taken to the nearby Dachau camp.
