The Shoah (1939–1945)
First convoy departed from Munich
20 nov. 1941·Munich
The toll is reproduced exactly as the source states it — never rounded, never added to another. Tolls overlap from one event to the next.
The Jews of Munich are first regrouped in a camp of barracks north of the city, at Milbertshofen, then deported to the Baltic countries.
The first convoy that left Munich in the autumn is directed toward Kaunas, where the deportees are murdered shortly after their arrival at the city's fort. The families had been gathered in a barracks camp set up in a suburb. Other convoys will follow toward Theresienstadt and toward the ghettos of the East.
