The traveling exhibition that opened in Munich in the autumn claims to show the public what a Jew is, through photographs, maps, and objects presented as evidence. It attracts a considerable crowd before being taken to Vienna and several other cities. It marks a milestone in the shaping of public opinion: legal exclusion is compounded by a popular staging.
