Khotyn (Hotin en roumain), forteresse médiévale sur le Dniestr en Bessarabie (auj. oblast de Tchernivtsi, Ukraine), abrita une importante communauté juive attestée depuis le XVIIe siècle, parmi les plus significatives de la région. En 1941, lors de l'avance roumano-allemande, les Juifs de Khotyn subirent des massacres et des déportations vers les camps de Transnistrie dans le cadre de la Shoah en Roumanie.
