The last convoys leave Vienna for Theresienstadt and Auschwitz; only a few Jewish council employees and persons protected by mixed marriage remain.
The community of Vienna, which before the annexation had been the most populous in the German-speaking lands after that of Berlin, ceases to exist over the course of the year. The last convoys carry to Theresienstadt and to the East the elderly and the communal leaders who had remained in place. Only a few employees of the office charged with liquidating the assets remain, along with the spouses of mixed marriages.
