After the annexation, a central office is established in Vienna to organize the forced departure of Jews from Austria. The system brings together all the formalities in one place, in exchange for the surrender of property; it will later be presented as a model and replicated in Prague and then in Berlin. The Leopoldstadt neighborhood, where the city's Jewish population is concentrated, is the first to be affected.
