The Jewish community of Nimègue is arrested and deported via Westerbork.
The community of Nijmegen, the oldest in the Netherlands according to local tradition, is summoned for deportation. The summons are issued from the town hall, and departures take place from the city's railway station. Jewish students and professors from the recently founded Catholic university are removed and then taken away with the others. After the war, the reopened synagogue never again found the congregation that had filled it.
