Jewish families from Hilversum are arrested and transported to Westerbork.
In Hilversum, in the Gooi, Jewish families receive their summons and are transported by regular train to Westerbork, then eastward. The city was home to a recent community, made up of merchants and employees, and a boarding school for Israelite children whose residents were taken away along with their educators. The emptied houses were inventoried and their contents shipped to Germany by an administration created for that purpose.
