The last convoys empty Brno of its Jewish inhabitants; communal property is seized and the great synagogue on Přízova street, the only one to survive, is converted into a warehouse.
The last convoys leave Brno in the spring, completing the deportation of the Moravian community to Theresienstadt. Only those protected by mixed marriages and a few employees of the Jewish council remain in the city, themselves deported later. The synagogue on Skořepka Street, the only one to escape destruction, remains closed. Brno, which had been a center of Jewish life in both German and Czech, ceases to shelter one.
