Activists loyal to the occupier set fire to two synagogues in Antwerp and plunder the Jewish quarter.

After the screening of an antisemitic propaganda film, Flemish far-right militants and men in German uniform move through the Jewish quarter of Antwerp, smashing shop windows, looting homes, and setting fire to two synagogues as well as the chief rabbi's house. The local police intervene only after several hours. This pogrom is the most serious one carried out in Belgium under occupation and heralds the series of spoliation measures to come.
