The occupier drives Jews from communes on the Belgian coast and forbids them to reside there.
The occupier prohibits Jews from residing along the entire Belgian coastline and orders their departure from the coastal towns. The families of Ostende, Blankenberge, and Knokke, many of whom had fled Germany a few years earlier, are sent back to the interior of the country, primarily to Bruxelles and Anvers. The measure, presented as military in nature, inaugurates in Belgium the series of residence bans founded solely on Jewish identity.
