The occupant extends the roundup to Jews of Belgian nationality, previously spared, in Antwerp and Brussels.
Jews of Belgian nationality, until then spared from the roundups that had struck foreigners and stateless persons, are arrested in Antwerp at their homes, at night, neighborhood by neighborhood. The city was before the war the country's foremost Jewish center, living off diamonds and craftsmanship; the arrest of its Belgian nationals marks the end of the distinction that the occupier had initially maintained. Those taken are brought to the Dossin barracks in Malines, from which the convoys depart.
