An auto-da-fé was held in Cordoue against converts accused of judaizing.
Andalusia, where the largest mass conversions had taken place, supplied the tribunal with the greatest share of its accused throughout the entire sixteenth century; the records of these trials, which have been preserved, are the principal source available on what the converts had retained — a fast, a manner of slaughtering meat, a Hebrew name passed down.
