The Jewish quarter of Cordoue was attacked during the Castilian civil war.
The partisans of Henri de Trastamare, who disputed the throne with his half-brother Pierre le Cruel, targeted the Jews, whom the king protected and employed in his finances. The dynastic war thus became, for two decades, a war against the communities.
