Windsbach est un bourg franconien dont la communauté juive rurale est documentée dans les archives consistoriales bavaroises aux XVIIIe–XIXe siècles. Comme dans d'autres villages de Franconie, les Juifs y étaient principalement marchands et colporteurs.
