Ventspils (Windau en allemand), ville portuaire de Courlande (Lettonie occidentale), abritait une communauté juive historique depuis le XVIIe siècle. Active dans le commerce maritime et portuaire, la communauté fut massacrée lors de l'occupation nazie en 1941.
