Sidon (Saïda) est un port phénicien du Liban méridional, l'une des plus anciennes villes du monde. Une présence juive y est documentée depuis l'Antiquité et mentionnée dans les sources talmudiques comme centre commercial important pour les Juifs de Palestine.
