As-Samawa (Samawah), ville de l'Euphrate méridional en Mésopotamie, comptait une petite communauté juive documentée à l'époque ottomane et durant le mandat britannique. Les Juifs de cette région participaient au réseau commercial reliant Bagdad et Bassora le long du fleuve.
