Parczew, ville de la région de Lublin, abritait une communauté juive active depuis le XVIe siècle, engagée dans le commerce et l'artisanat. La communauté, qui comptait plusieurs milliers de membres à la veille de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, fut anéantie lors de la Shoah, notamment lors des déportations vers Sobibor en 1942.
