Mala, village du district de Thrissur au Kerala, est l'un des centres historiques de la communauté juive Malabar (Juifs de Cochin). Une synagogue y fut construite, désormais restaurée et classée comme patrimoine. La communauté, très réduite, a émigré en grande majorité vers Israël.
