Limanowa est un bourg de Galicie occidentale (Petite-Pologne) où une communauté juive est documentée au XIXe siècle. Durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, les Juifs de Limanowa furent déportés vers le camp d'extermination de Bełżec en 1942.
