Douala est la principale métropole et le port majeur du Cameroun, centre économique du pays. Une petite communauté juive s'y est installée au XXe siècle, composée principalement de commerçants d'origines diverses, sans toutefois former une communauté organisée et institutionnalisée comparable à celles d'Afrique du Nord.
