Cumaná, l'une des plus anciennes villes fondées par les Espagnols sur le continent américain (Venezuela), connut une présence juive épisodique aux XVIIe–XIXe siècles, principalement de marchands sépharades de passage ou établis temporairement dans ce port de la côte orientale vénézuélienne.
