Colchester (Essex) abrita une communauté juive aux XIIe et XIIIe siècles, attestée dans les Pipe Rolls et les archives de l'Échiquier royal anglais. Les Juifs de Colchester étaient principalement prêteurs et marchands ; la communauté disparut lors de l'expulsion générale des Juifs d'Angleterre en 1290.
