Attack — Netanya, HaSharon Mall
12 juill. 2005·Netanya, HaSharon Mall
The toll is reproduced exactly as the source states it — never rounded, never added to another. Tolls overlap from one event to the next.
The HaSharon Mall is the main shopping center of Netanya, a few minutes from the beach and the bus station. The blast goes off in front of the main entrance, at the hour when families come looking for cool air in the height of summer.
The same building had already been targeted twice in the preceding years, making it one of the most persistently attacked sites in the country. The city, built by immigrants from central Europe and then from the Maghreb, draws its economic life from this local commerce, and each attack strikes the same small perimeter of streets, known to all its inhabitants.
