Convoys leave Theresienstadt for a particular sector of Birkenau, where deportees keep their clothes and families and write postcards dated in advance; the sector is liquidated after a few months, in two waves.

Convoys departing from Theresienstadt arrive at Birkenau in a separate sector, where deportees from the Protectorate are kept together as families, with their own clothing and without selection upon arrival. This family camp serves as a reserve for a possible outside inspection. A barrack there houses the children, who receive clandestine instruction. After several months, the sectors are liquidated one by one.
