Two major actions empty most of the ghetto toward Bełżec; the remainder will be liquidated in March 1943.

The closed quarter of Cracow, established in the suburb of Podgórze, had already been reduced by the expulsions of the preceding months. Two major actions, one in June, the other in October, emptied most of it toward Bełżec.

Summonses were issued on the central square of the quarter, where work certificates were checked and those unable to walk were shot on the spot. What remained of the quarter after these two actions would be liquidated the following year, in favor of the camp of Płaszów.
