Toll
bilan non établi

The toll is reproduced exactly as the source states it — never rounded, never added to another. Tolls overlap from one event to the next.

The unfinished city of La Muette becomes the camp from which almost all convoys from France depart eastward.

The Cité de la Muette, a social housing complex never completed on the northeastern outskirts of Paris, becomes at the end of summer the main internment camp for the Jews of France. Administered at first by the préfecture de police, it endures a first winter of famine that forces the release of hundreds of sick detainees. From Drancy, for nearly three years, almost all the deportation convoys leaving the country will depart — the vast majority of them bound for Upper Silesia. The name of this place has become in France the very name of the antechamber of deportation.
