A town in the salt mines of eastern Galicia, Kalusz sees its notables and young men gathered on the pretext of work, taken out of the built-up area and shot; the rest of the community is locked up shortly after.

Kalusz, a salt-mining town in eastern Galicia, loses its men within the first weeks of the occupation, summoned under the pretext of registration and led out of the city. The remaining families are subjected to requisitions, then gathered together before being directed toward the ghetto of Stanislawow and the convoys departing from it.
