La Bibliothèque nationale centrale de Rome, distincte de la Biblioteca Casanatense et de la Vaticane, conserve plusieurs centaines de manuscrits et incunables hébreux acquis lors de la dissolution des institutions religieuses après l'unification italienne de 1870. Elle renferme des textes kabbalistiques, des rouleaux d'Esther enluminés et des documents relatifs aux communautés juives de Rome et du Latium. Ces fonds sont décrits dans le Censimento dei Manoscritti Ebraici in Italia. Ils sont accessibles aux chercheurs dans les salles spécialisées de la bibliothèque.
