רבי שלמה יצחקי (רש"י)

Né à Troyes vers 1040, il étudia dans les yeshivot de Mayence et Worms puis revint à Troyes où il fonda une école et vécut du commerce (vin). Il est considéré comme le plus grand commentateur de la Bible hébraïque et du Talmud de Babylone. Son commentaire du Talmud figure dans toutes les éditions depuis la première impression de Bomberg (années 1520) et l'étude de la Bible et du Talmud commence encore aujourd'hui par ses gloses.
