Halakhiste italien du XVIe siècle, disciple de Nathaniel Trabotto et respecté de Meïr Katzenellenbogen de Padoue. Après avoir enseigné à Reggio puis à Pavie (quinze ans), il fut rabbin de Sabbioneta jusqu'à sa mort (1536). Il correspondit en halakha avec les grands savants de sa génération et prit publiquement position contre l'aventurier David Reubeni, aux côtés d'Abraham ha-Kohen de Bologne. Azoulaï affirme avoir vu deux volumes de ses responsa.
