Homme politique australien, né à Londres le 30 novembre 1820, mort à Sydney le 27 janvier 1874. Arrivé à Sydney en 1834, il représente la circonscription de Goulburn à la Chambre d'assemblée de Nouvelle-Galles du Sud à partir de 1863, et fait fortune grâce à des placements immobiliers avisés. Après sa mort, sa veuve fonde en sa mémoire une bourse d'études à l'université de Sydney.
