The last deportation train leaves the Dossin barracks in Malines for Auschwitz, a few weeks before liberation.

The Dossin barracks in Malines, a former cavalry barracks converted into a transit camp, had seen all deportation convoys from Belgium depart eastward. The last one left the city as Allied troops were already approaching the border; a few days later, the barracks were liberated along with the detainees still held there. The building now houses the memorial and museum dedicated to the deportation of Jews and Roma from Belgium.
