Local Jews and refugees who had arrived from Ukraine are murdered by Sonderkommando 10b, partly in the gas truck.

Stavropol, in the northern Caucasus, was occupied in the summer. Among those present were, in addition to the local population, numerous refugees who had fled Ukraine ahead of the advancing front, and evacuees from the nearby spa towns.

Sonderkommando 10b carried out executions in the weeks that followed, by shooting and partly by means of gas vans. The occupation of the region was brief: the front receded as early as winter, and Soviet investigators gathered on-site testimonies that were still recent.
