City on the Oka occupied a few weeks before the counteroffensive, Kalouga sees its Jews penned in a wooden district, robbed and employed in clearing; some are shot before the retreat.

Kaluga, on the Oka, is occupied for a few weeks during the autumn offensive. The Jews who could not be evacuated are registered, confined to a designated quarter, subjected to forced labor and publicly humiliated; some of them are shot before the city is recaptured.
