Historien israélien né à Tel-Aviv en 1936, formé à l'université hébraïque de Jérusalem, enseignant au Séminaire des kibboutzim (Kibbutzim College) et au collège académique Sapir. Il a consacré son œuvre à une relecture critique de l'histoire du sionisme et à une remise en cause de l'historiographie centrée sur Ben Gourion.
