Né Tomasz Blatt à Izbica. À 16 ans il s'évade du camp d'extermination de Sobibór lors du soulèvement des prisonniers juifs d'octobre 1943. Après-guerre, témoin majeur de Sobibór (dont au procès de Karl Frenzel) et auteur de deux livres sur le camp.
