Médecin juif italien, membre du tribunal rabbinique, il fut l'imprimeur effectif de la presse hébraïque de Riva di Trento (1558-1562), sous le privilège accordé par le cardinal Cristoforo Madruzzo au rabbin Joseph Ottolengo. Environ 34 ouvrages hébreux y parurent, réputés pour leur typographie très nette (Halakhot d'Alfasi, Mordekhaï, nouveautés de R. Nissim, Mishna, Pentateuque). Il rédigeait lui-même préfaces et abrégés, et aurait parfois composé des textes publiés sous d'autres noms.
