געגנט: Ancône, Florence (Italie), cours européennes
Né à Ancône en 1841, fils de Beniamino Consolo, mort à Florence en 1906. Élève de Fétis à Bruxelles et de Liszt pour la composition, il fut un violoniste virtuose avant de se consacrer, à Florence, à l'étude de la cantillation hébraïque. Son maître ouvrage cherche à démontrer la correspondance entre les mélodies synagogales et les accents massorétiques (te'amim) du texte biblique.
