רעגיסטער געשיכטע · באַהיטער, נישט באַזיצער
Médecin juif né le 20 décembre 1789 à Remoulins (Gard). Il soutint sa thèse à la Faculté de médecine de Montpellier en 1811, fut chirurgien de la Grande Armée et suivit Napoléon en Russie en 1812 (où il fut fait prisonnier). Installé à Nîmes, il devint la figure juive dominante de la ville sous la monarchie de Juillet et siégea au conseil municipal (1837-1848).
